For the third consecutive year, we present our Sustainability Report, corresponding to the financial year 2023.
In 2021 we were the first company in the packaging services sector to publish a Sustainability Report. For yet another year, we continue to lead the way and reaffirm our commitment to transparency and sustainable development.
In this new 2023 edition of our Sustainability Report we share all the actions carried out in the area of sustainability and highlight the achievements and progress made, with the roadmap of our Sustainability Master Plan and consolidating our commitment to a sustainable future.
Contribution to the SDGs
The Report presents our data and milestones more succinctly, with an emphasis on the most relevant indicators of our performance. In the Report we show these indicators in relation to the SDGs adopted by our company and closely linked to the development of our business.
We once again reaffirm our goal of making a positive impact on people, society and the environment through our commitment to sustainability, service and innovation.
Sustainability Master Plan
In the words of Gaizka Lara Goiricelaya, Managing Director of Aranco: "I am proud to see how we are steadily advancing in our Sustainability Master Plan, taking calm and firm steps, but without stopping. I am beginning to appreciate the accumulated path that we started some time ago and that we have managed to organise, expand and accelerate’.
As indicated in the Sustainability Report 2023, our Sustainability Master Plan is the framework and strategy document that sets out objectives to enhance the sustainable management of our company.
The Plan initially envisaged a temporary development from 2022 to 2023. During 2023 we decided to extend its scope with a second phase of strategic development for the years 2027 to 2030.
Thus, our main challenges for 2023 are as follows:
- Descarbonisation
- RStrengthening our compliance and due diligence model
- Development of increasingly sustainable products and services
